Last night our book club discussed Wolf Hall, by Hilary Mantel. Leslie said she chose it to, show us what she likes to read, and “to torture us”. While we didn’t, as a group, finish the book, we found it interesting, in parts. It is a difficult read, and we rebelled. History professor, Dr. Richard C., was our honored guest. He helped breathe life into this fine historical novel. Dave and Jackie, hosted us well. Sue got our copy. I have the paper version, and audio version on reserve from the local public library. I well soldier through it. A hard read is sometimes worth it, as it is in this case.
I mean to fill in the blanks, between the last posting and this, but a lot of it is on FB, where I spend a lot of my time these days. As I get used to retirement it will happen, someday.
Remember our veterans.
