Lost and very cold.

We had a warm fire at Deanna’s to discuss the book about the boy scouts who got to spend the night in a freak snowstorm near Mt, Baldy in the Madera canyon area. 3 died, and one of the survivors was with us discussing his sister’s book about their ordeal. He told us a lot about his participation in the events the book was about, and gave us a lot of insights about the book biz. It was a good book, and kept our interest, despite it’s grim outcome, in part as a time capsule look at the Tucson of 50+ years ago. Deanna fed us well, as usual. Dave, who picked the book because our guest was his golf buddy,(and it was a good book), was still on the mend so he and his wife, Jackie didn’t join us. Too bad, we all had a good time. It would have been better with our missing members.
